Paranoid Radiography Poster by Juan Batlle Plans
Juan Batlle Planas (1911-1966) was an Argentine painter of Spanish origin belonging to the surrealist school. Many of his works were sombre in feeling, influenced by social unrest and economic and political problems in Argentina.
This painting, titled "Paranoid Radiography" (1936), was included in the Terapia exhibition presented at Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires (MALBA) in 2021. MALBA is located in the Palermo neighborhood Buenos Aires. The museum's mission is to collect, preserve, research and promote Latin American Art from the onset of the 20th century to the present.
